The Los Angeles Dodgers have come away with two hard-fought victories thus far at Chase Field and now are in position to clinch a season series win against the Arizona Diamondbacks.
They’ll have two opportunities to do so, beginning with the afternoon game on Sunday that is an exclusive Roku stream. Diamondbacks play-by-play man Steve Berthiaume and reporter Jody Jackson are on the call, and so too is Dodgers broadcaster José Mota.
As for matters on the field, Justin Wrobleski was added to the expanded Dodgers roster for a spot start. Andy Pages was the position player the Dodgers recalled from Triple-A Oklahoma City.
In addition, the club also recalled Michael Grove and optioned Ben Casparius.
Wrobleski is 1-1 with a 4.68 ERA and 1.20 WHIP in five starts for L.A. thus far. The left-hander made his MLB debut against the Milwaukee Brewers on July 7.
Having already lost two games in which their best starters were on the mound, the Diamondbacks hope to find success behind Brandon Pfaadt.
The rookie is 8-7 with a 4.31 ERA and 1.17 WHIP in 26 starts this season. Pfaadt is 4-1 in his last seven starts, but has pitched to a 5.23 ERA during that span.
Pfaadt allowed three runs (two earned) on four hits over six innings and picked up a win at Dodger Stadium on May 21.
