The legendary career of Vin Scully is winding to a close, as the Los Angeles Dodgers wrap up their final home series of the season on Sunday. After calling the series against the Colorado Rockies, Scully’s final broadcasts will come at AT&T Park.
The spotlight will be on the Hall of Fame broadcaster Friday night as the game will be preceded by an on-field ceremony, scheduled to begin at 6:30 p.m. PT. Prior to reaching this point, several opposing players and Dodgers have visited Scully in his booth.
With this being the Rockies’ final games against the Dodgers, multiple players and manager Walt Weiss took the opportunity to meet with the voice of the Dodgers.
The visit was particularly meaningful for All-Star third baseman Nolan Arenado, a Newport Beach, Calif., native.
The group of Rockies personnel presented Scully with an autographed ‘LAD’ sign that was used at Coors Field, via Colorado’s Twitter account:

Others to honor and visit Scully this season include the Boston Red Sox and David Ortiz and the Chicago Cubs. Dodgers’ Clayton Kershaw, Yasiel Puig and manager Dave Roberts recently made their way up to the fifth floor at Dodger Stadium.
