With the 2017 All-Star Game taking place at Marlins Park, caps and jerseys have been outfitted with a Miami flare. Designs below will be worn during the Gatorade All-Star Workout Day and T-Mobile Home Run Derby.
American League jerseys are blue-based, with a black accent from sleeve to sleeve, over the shoulders. On the other hand, National League jerseys follow the same pattern, but with an orange base. A star will replace the letter ‘A’ on the jerseys, with a Marlins’ tail attached.
Included are the caps with a honeycomb open-hole black mesh crown, along with the team logos in orange, the LiquidChrome All-Star Game patch and a colorful floral pattern on the bottom of the visor. Not pictured, but socks with hints of green, blue, yellow, orange and red, are also part of the uniform.
As for the actual All-Star Game, players will wear their team jerseys, per usual. However, they will feature a new patch on the left sleeve that signifies the number of All-Star selections that player has.
Another change in the Midsummer Classic comes to the caps. New Era, in partnership with MLB, created a new design for the fourth consecutive season. The caps feature a gold team logo, with differing shadow tech heather-colored crowns and the All-Star LiquidChrome patch.
