The Los Angeles Dodgers remain active in free agency as they have been linked to multiple names still available on the open market, including Teoscar Hernández and Tommy Pham.

Bolstering the frontend of the rotation was on the top of the offseason to-do list, and that has been filled with Yoshinobu Yamamoto and Tyler Glasnow. In the Dodgers bullpen, Evan Phillips and Brusdar Graterol provide a solid one-two punch for the late innings, but the team has remained connected to some of the top available relievers.

While Josh Hader and Robert Stephenson are on their radar, Jon Heyman of the New York Post reports that the Dodgers are still exploring the idea of re-signing Ryan Brasier:

Brasier was terrific in his time with the Dodgers, carrying a 0.70 ERA, 2.48 FIP and 0.72 WHIP in 38.2 innings pitched (39 appearances). His return might be a long shot move considering the level of deal he could receive from teams facing more of a need.

Having Daniel Hudson, Blake Treinen and J.P. Feyereisen all returning from varying injuries, the Dodgers might be willing to extend themselves much for bullpen additions. Still, the bullpen is a group that’s never truly set with the volatility of relievers.

Ryan Brasier had turnaround with Dodgers

Brasier’s resurgence within the Dodgers organization was a classic moment for what they’ve been able to do since president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman took over.

Brasier’s path was similar to that of Chris Martin in 2021 when the Dodgers completed a trade to bring him over from the Chicago Cubs after he posted a 4.31 ERA in 31.1 innings.

Following the trade, Martin carried a 1.46 ERA and an 0.53 WHIP through the remainder of the season. Martin turned that into a new multi-year contract in free agency with the Boston Red Sox.
