The Los Angeles Dodgers had five representatives named to the the 2026 All-Star Game when the initial American League and National League rosters were released.

Andy Pages was among the Dodgers nominated, earning the first All-Star selection of his young career. There is a compelling case to be made that this should have been Pages’ second consecutive All-Star season. Pages said the result in 2025 was disappointing, but also helped him grow as a player.

“I wouldn’t say it was a goal, per se,” Pages said through an interpreter when asked if he sought out to make the 96th edition of the Midsummer Classic. “It was one of those things last year that left me a little bit frustrated and bothersome I wasn’t selected.

“But at the same time, it wasn’t something we could control. Nothing we could do and not really in our hands, so it showed me a lot of lessons to focus on what I needed to do rather than think about what would’ve happened if I did make the team.”

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts has been outspoken in his belief that the young outfielder was snubbed in 2025. He made it a priority to promote Pages throughout the voting process.

The 25-year-old has established himself as one of the most promising young players in the league with his play since last season. He has blossomed into a complete five-tool player, posting a 115 wRC+, 16 home runs and standout defense in center field.

Freddie Freeman will be one of the other Dodgers joining Pages in Philadelphia. The NL’s starting first baseman gave his teammate some much deserved recognition.

“Well, it should be his second. I think he should’ve had it last year,” Freeman said. “Andy has been great for a couple years now. I’m glad he’s getting the recognition and I’m glad the fans will get to see him in Philadelphia.”

The Dodgers tied the host Philadelphia Phillies and Atlanta Braves with five All-Star selections. Although, Bryce Harper made the NL roster as a “legend pick” by MLB commissioner Rob Manfred. Philadelphia has since pulled ahead when Jesús Luzardo was added as their sixth All-Star.

Shohei Ohtani (designated hitter), Max Muncy (third base) and Yoshinobu Yamamoto (pitcher) make up the remaining selections from L.A.

Andy Pages looking forward to All-Star debut

Pages led all NL outfielders through the first round of voting but slipped out of the top three during Phase 2. A late push from fans moved him back into a starting spot.

Pagesexpressed his anticipation for the overall All-Star experience he will get to soak in.
