Andy Pages ‘Excited’ For First Career All-Star Game Selection

Initial 2026 MLB All-Star Game rosters were unveiled on Saturday, which saw the Los Angeles Dodgers tie with the Atlanta Braves and Philadelphia Phillies for an MLB-best five selections.

Among this year’s Dodgers All-Stars is Andy Pages, who earned a first career selection. Pages led all National League outfielders through the first round of voting but slipped out of the top three during Phase 2. A late push from fans moved him back into a starting spot.

“I’m excited to be able to participate in my first one,” Pages said through an interpreter. “Obviously very proud of all the work I’ve done to get to this point.”

Pages was informed of the All-Star selection by his wife, and then received formal recognition from manager Dave Roberts during a ceremony inside the Dodgers clubhouse.

“They were super excited for me, really happy,” Pages said of the reaction from teammates. “Obviously a lot of hugs around the clubhouse but also they’ve been telling me for a couple weeks and saying it for a long time. Being patient and finally hearing my name is one of the things that stood out to them after telling me every day I was going to be there.”

Pages was an All-Star snub last year and now gives the Dodgers a fan-elected starting outfielder for the fifth time in the last eight Midsummer Classics. He joins Matt Kemp, 2018; Cody Bellinger, 2019; and Mookie Betts, 2022-23.

Andy Pages planning to soak in All-Star experience

Following a home game on July 12, Pages and fellow Dodgers All-Stars Freddie Freeman, Max Muncy, Shohei Ohtani and Yoshinobu Yamamoto will board a private plane bound for Philadelphia. It’s possible more teammates join them if they’re added onto the NL roster as replacements.

All-Star Game media day is expected to take place July 13, along with the Home Run Derby later night. Both in the time leading up and during the All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park, Pages said he intends to take full advantage of being around some of the game’s best talent.

He potentially could get looped into the Home Run Derby, and Muncy is another candidate as well given he’s previously expressed a willingness to participate in the annual event if he already was going to be on hand as an All-Star.
