Andy Pages was named among the National League starters for the 2026 MLB All-Star Game, marking a first career selection to the event.

While Pages is among multiple Los Angeles Dodgers who will be participating in the All-Star Game at Citizens Bank Park, his inclusion did not come without some late magic. The 25-year-old was the leading vote-getter among NL outfielders throughout Phase 1 and advanced as a finalist.

However, once vote totals reset in the second round, Pages slipped all the way to fourth and out of a starting spot in the initial update. He remained in fourth place when the second update for Phase 2 arrived on Wednesday.

Pages ultimately rose to be among the starting NL outfielders to receive a well-earned All-Star Game selection. There was hope the young center fielder was going to be named an All-Star last year but he wound up being among the snubs.

Pages gives the Dodgers a fan-elected starting outfielder for the fifth time in the last eight All-Star Games. He joins Matt Kemp, 2018; Cody Bellinger, 2019; and Mookie Betts, 2022-23.

Meanwhile, Teoscar Hernández remained on the outside looking in at every All-Star voting update. He also advanced to Phase 2 in 2024 but ultimately found himself among the NL reserves for a second career All-Star selection.

Dave Roberts pushed for Andy Pages to make All-Star Game

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts is again going to lead the NL team and while he did not have a say in assembling the roster, he publicly vouched for Pages, Max Muncy and Justin Wrobleski in particular to earn All-Star nods.

“I think they’ve both earned it,” Roberts said last month of Pages and Muncy during an interview with David Vassegh on AM 570 L.A. Sports radio.

“We still have a lot of baseball left in the first half, but as we kind of kick off the fan voting for the All-Star Game, I really hope Los Angeles, Dodger fans, and fans all over the country, pitch in and support Max, and Andy, specifically.

“Because Andy lost out last year. Max, I think it’s been a few years since he’s been an All-Star. They’re both having tremendous seasons, and we draw more than anyone, we have the best fanbase, so hopefully that will be reflected in the voting for our guys.”
