Dave Roberts: Andy Pages Is ‘Overlooked’ Across MLB For All-Star Game

Andy Pages has been one of the Los Angeles Dodgers’ most valuable players this season due to his contributions on both sides of the ball.

The 25-year-old entered play Wednesday hitting .293/.339/.533 with 14 doubles, 13 home runs and an MLB-best 51 RBI in 61 games. Pages has also been one of the best center fielders in the league, as he is tied with the Chicago Cubs’ Pete Crow-Armstrong for the most defensive runs saved at 13.

Pages put up similar numbers at this point in the 2025 season, which had him thinking about potentially making the All-Star Game. His production began to drop off after that, and manager Dave Roberts emphasized the importance of avoiding a repeat this year, via Bill Plunkett of the Southern California News Group:

“I do. I think last year at this point in time it was also on his mind and he pressed a little for that and it didn’t go well,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said. “So hopefully he can keep doing what he’s doing and let it take care of itself.”

Roberts implied that Pages is deserving of a spot in this year’s All-Star Game, but would not be surprised if he gets snubbed again due to more well-known names being on the ballot:

“I think it’s easy to be overlooked on this team, in this lineup,” Roberts said. “And also, you include a guy that doesn’t self-promote at all. Doesn’t say a whole lot. So he probably doesn’t get that same fanfare.”

As Roberts noted, Pages can only control what he can control, and that’s being the best player possible. If he continues to impress on both sides of the ball, Pages could still receive enough fan support to earn his first All-Star selection even on a crowded outfield ballot.

How to vote for Andy Pages in 2026 MLB All-Star Game

The first phase of 2026 MLB All-Star Game fan voting opened on Wednesday at 9 a.m. PT. Fans can vote up to five times each day at MLB.com/vote, any MLB team site, the MLB App and MLB Ballpark App until Thursday, June 25.

The leading vote-getter in the American League and National League for the first phase will automatically earn a starting spot. The remaining finalists will then battle it out in the second phase, which begins on Monday, June 29, and runs through July 2.
