The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled J.P. Feyereisen from Triple-A Oklahoma City and optioned Landon Knack prior to their series finale against the Arizona Diamondbacks.

Feyereisen was recalled for his third stint with the Dodgers this season, previously making the Seoul Series roster in South Korea and then another stint with the club in mid-April. He is 0-1 on the season, allowing six runs in 1.1 innings.

Feyerseisen has appeared in seven games with Triple-A Oklahoma City, allowing four runs in 10.2 innings with nine strikeouts.

The 31-year-old is looking to navigate a successful return from right shoulder surgery that prevented him from pitching during the 2023 season. The Dodgers acquired Feyereisen in a December 2022 trade that sent Jeff Belge to the Tampa Bay Rays.

He is in his fourth Major League season with stints with Milwaukee Brewers (2020-21), Tampa Bay Rays (2021-22) and Dodgers (2024), going a combined 8-5 with a 2.87 ERA and 86 strikeouts in 91.0 innings.

The right-hander was originally drafted in the 16th round of the 2014 MLB Draft out of the University of Wisconsin-Stevens Point.

Dodgers option Landon Knack

To make room for Feyereisen, Knack was optioned after a strong outing with the Dodgers on Tuesday, throwing five innings while giving up one run.

Although Knack kept his pitch count in control throughout the start, he did no pitch until two hours after first warming up due to a bee delay, which limited his outing.

The 26-year-old made three starts for the Dodgers, posting a 1-1 record with a 2.81 ERA and 11 strikeouts in 16 innings against the Washington Nationals and Diamondbacks.

Last season, he split the campaign between Double-A Tulsa and Triple-A Oklahoma City and went a combined 5-1 with a 2.51 ERA and 99 strikeouts in 100.1 innings.

The right-hander has made 58 appearances (53 starts) in the Minor Leagues, and he has racked up 277 strikeouts in 243 innings while opponents have hit .236 against the Tennessee native. He was drafted by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2020 MLB Draft out of East Tennessee State University.

With Knack no longer part of the rotation, it seems likely that Walker Buehler will make his next start with the Dodgers after a strong rehab outing.
