The New York Yankees and Los Angeles Dodgers renewed their historic rivalry in the 2024 World Series and now meet for the first time since that clash.
The Dodgers won their eighth World Series title in franchise history by defeating the Yankees in just five games. The Fall Classic featured several memorable moments, including Freddie Freeman’s walk-off grand slam in Game 1, and the Dodgers’ improbable rally in Game 5 to clinch the title.
That was followed by candid comments from several players, which upset manager Aaron Boone and some others with the Yankees organization.
All of that has contributed to heightened excitement for the World Series rematch at Dodger Stadium that is only going to be available nationally. SportsNet LA won’t resume broadcasting Dodgers games until Monday, when they start another series with the New York Mets.
