In a season unlike any other in MLB history, the Los Angeles Dodgers ended their World Series drought by defeating the Tampa Bay Rays in six games.

To get there, the Dodgers went 43-17 during the regular season, good for the best record in baseball. Awaiting them was an expanded postseason that began with facing the Milwaukee Brewers in a newly formed Wild Card Series.

The Dodgers swept the best-of-three, then did the same as they dispatched of the San Diego Padres in the National League Division Series. L.A. then fell behind 3-1 to the Atlanta Braves in the NL Championship Series before rattling off three consecutive wins.

A third trip to the Fall Classic in the past four years began with the Dodgers and Rays trading wins through the first four games. The Dodgers then bounced back from a heartbreaking walk-off loss in Game 4 with consecutive victories to capture the title.
