The Los Angeles Dodgers had their eight-game winning streak snapped by the Washington Nationals and now look to get back on track in the final series of their homestand.

Mitch White makes his 10th start and 15th overall appearance of the season. He is coming off an excellent outing against the San Francisco Giants that saw him allow only one hit over five scoreless innings.

The performance came on the heels of White yielding six runs and 10 hits in five innings against the St. Louis Cardinals. One day after the uncharacteristic start, Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said the team was reviewing video to determine if White tipped pitches in the loss.

The 27-year-old enters play at 1-2 with a 3.78 ERA, 4.23 FIP and 1.22 WHIP in 50 innings pitched. Tuesday marks White’s first career start against the Nationals.

Washington counters with Josiah Gray, who gets another crack at his former team. The right-hander was tabbed with a loss in his first start against the Dodgers on May 24 after giving up seven runs on five hits over three innings pitched.

Gray, a former top prospect in the Dodgers organization, was part of the blockbuster trade last season that brought Max Scherzer and Trea Turner to L.A.

In the midst of his first full MLB season, Gray has pitched to a 7-6 record, 4.40 ERA, 5.22 FIP and 1.27 WHIP with 106 strikeouts against 39 walks across 92 innings thus far.

Justin Turner remains out of the Dodgers lineup but should return from abdominal/ribcage discomfort for the series finale. Turner has made steady progress and increased his level of activity in workouts since suffering the injury last week, and is available to pinch-hit if needed.

Meanwhile, Trea Turner enters play with a 12-game hitting streak.
