MLB Reaches Licensing Agreement With Baseballism

Major League Baseball and Baseballism reached a licensing agreement that extends through the 2022 season and will allow the brand to feature team logos on its line of merchandise that includes shirts, hoodies, jackets, pants, leather goods and accessories.

“It is an honor to add an MLB x Baseballism Collaborative collection to Baseballism’s existing apparel line, Baseballism co-founder and CEO Travis Chock said in a statement. “Since inception Baseballism has prided itself in being a brand authentic to the game.

“A brand for baseball people, by baseball people. We intend to take the same creativity and quality of the Baseballism brand and bring it to the Major League Baseball stage. It has always been our dream to make it to the big leagues, and although we weren’t able to do it as players, this is still a dream come true.”

Baseballism is planning an initial launch of MLB products on Saturday, with more to come in 2022. MLB apparel from Baseballism will initially be available online before a broader release in their stores.

Baseballism currently operates brick and mortar locations in Atlanta, Arlington, Chicago, Cooperstown, Irvine, San Francisco, Scottsdale, St. Louis and at the Field of Dreams in Dyersville.

Earlier this year, MLB announced a multi-year partnership with WWE to create championship title belts that will feature team logos. It marked the first official licensing agreement for championship belts between WWE and one of the major North American sports leagues.

As part of the agreement, MLB and WWE will collaborate to design and manufacture team-branded title belts along with belts that celebrate some of the league’s marquee events, including the World Series, All-Star Game and Home Run Derby.

Additionally, MLB and WWE will create custom side plates and unique Lucha Libre masks. The line of merchandise is due to launch in 2022.

Baseballism partnered with Justin Turner

Although the new licensing agreement is a first for Baseballism, the company has previously worked with Justin Turner and Alanna Rizzo, among others.

Last year the Justin Turner Foundation partnered with the company to create the ‘#MoonOnAMission’ collection, with a portion of the proceeds from every item sold going to coronavirus (COVID-19) relief efforts.

Then when the Justin and Kourtney Turner organized a virtual 5K, Baseballism designed a custom hat for participants, and more recently a t-shirt for those who ran the Los Angeles Marathon as part of the Justin Turner Foundation team.
