Los Angeles Dodgers Expand Mask Policy At Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers are now requiring all fans who attend a game at Dodger Stadium, regardless of their vaccination status, to wear a mask to in order to receive service at any concession stand, whether it is indoors, outdoors, or on the concourse.

The new policy began on Monday for the series-opener against the Pittsburgh Pirates and remains in accordance with the latest Los Angeles County Department of Public Health order that went into effect on July 18, 2021.

The change comes as the number of coronavirus (COVID-19) cases rise throughout Los Angeles, specifically the much more contagious Delta variant.

The policy expands on the Dodgers’ current mask guidelines that states all individuals ages two and older, regardless of vaccination status, are required to wear a mask or an appropriate face covering while in indoor settings such as retail stores and restaurants, except while seated and actively eating or drinking.

The Dodgers consider covered stadium concourses and concession stands to fall under the indoor settings category, and thus masks must be worn there.

Neck gaiters, bandanas and masks with valves are also still not considered to be appropriate face coverings.

Following the guidelines will help fans stay healthy and able to attend future games as the Dodgers lead all teams in both home and road attendance, along with 35 sellouts so far this season.

Dodgers continue Dodger Stadium vaccinations

Along with expanding their mask policy, the Dodgers are continuing with a mobile vaccination clinic that takes place on the left field reserve level during the current homestand.

More than 1,700 fans have already been vaccinated at Dodger Stadium during the team’s past five homestands as part of their vaccination clinic.

The Dodgers are encouraging fans to get vaccinated by offering a voucher for two tickets to a future 2021 home game, while supplies last.
