The Los Angeles Dodgers 2020 schedule of 60 games begins Thursday, July 23, with an Opening Day matchup against the San Francisco Giants. That marks the start of a four-game series at Dodger Stadium, which is similar to the Dodgers’ initial schedule for a 162-game 2020 season.

After facing their National League West rival, the Dodgers have a travel day ahead of playing the Houston Astros at Minute Maid Park from July 28-29. The Astros will visit Dodger Stadium on Sept. 12 and 13.

“I know that it’s nice to open up at home with a team we’re familiar with,” Dodgers manager Dave Roberts said after the 2020 MLB schedule was released. “Then get the off day, go to Houston for two days, and then Arizona and San Diego. It’s just going to be a different environment.

“I know our fans were looking forward to getting those guys here, but we’re going to be at their place (first). Sans fans, so it’s going to be a different environment. I’m just expecting to play good baseball against a good ballclub.”

Overall, the Dodgers play 40 games against the NL West, though the contests are not divided evenly. L.A. plays San Francisco seven times at home, compared to only one three-game series at Oracle Park.

The Dodgers also have six home games with the Colorado Rockies, and one four-game series at Coors Field in September. Conversely, seven of 10 head-to-head meetings with the Arizona Diamondbacks are at Chase Field, and six of 10 games with the San Diego Padres will be played at Petco Park.

Outside of divisional play, the Dodgers’ remaining 20 games of the schedule are comprised of matchups with American League West teams. They will only face the Oakland Athletics at Dodger Stadium, and their lone series with the Texas Rangers will come at the new Globe Life Park.

Dodgers exhibition games

Prior to Opening Day of the 2020 season, the Dodgers will play three exhibition games, each at Dodger Stadium. It consists of a two-game series with the Diamondbacks that begins Sunday, July 19, and concludes with matchup against the L.A. Angels on July 21.

Dodgers on TV

With the exception of exclusive national broadcasts on ESPN and FOX, all games (exhibition and regular season) will be televised on Spectrum SportsNet LA.

The Dodgers’ exclusive network is now available to AT&T TV, DIRECTV, U-verse TV and AT&T TV Now customers as well as Spectrum customers in Southern California, Las Vegas and Hawaii. All games, including the three exhibition games, will be broadcast on radio on AM 570 L.A. Sports and KTNQ 1020 AM (Spanish).

An additional noteworthy change for this year is most weeknight games at Dodger Stadium have a 6:40 p.m. start time.
