Clayton Kershaw and his wife, Ellen, announced the birth of Chloe Peach Kershaw, the newest member of their family. She is the fifth child Clayton and Ellen have together, and their second daughter.
Chloe was born on Dec. 19, Clayton announced on Instagram. “Meet Chloe Peach Kershaw, who joined our crew and arrived on December 19th! She’s perfect and her brothers and sister are obsessed with her. We are grateful for the gift of her life!” he wrote.
Kershaw previously revealed in June that he and his wife were expecting their fifth child and held a Father’s Day celebration with a gender reveal.
Clayton and Ellen are Dallas natives and graduates of the same high school. After being high school sweethearts, they married in 2010.
Chloe Peach is the sister of Cali Ann, Charley, Cooper and Chance. Cali Ann, their first child, was born in 2015, and Charley was also born in the same year. Cooper was born in 2020, and Chance in 2021.
Charley was often seen around Dodger Stadium and even had his own locker inside the Dodgers’ clubhouse during the 2025 season.
Clayton Kershaw retired to spend more time with family
In September, Kershaw announced he would retire after the 2025 season. Part of the reason for his decision was to spend more time with his kids.
“Yeah, I’m going to call it,” Kershaw said during his press conference. “I’m going to retire. Ellen and I have talked about it a lot, kiddos and I have talked about it a lot. I’m at peace with it. I think it’s the right time.”
Kershaw spent 18 seasons with the Dodgers, which took most of his time. He now looks forward to being at his children’s events.
“I think I’m going to have enough kids to keep me busy for a while,” Kershaw said. “I’m excited to not miss another game, watch all the baseball, volleyball, dance, soccer, every other sport imaginable, football, basketball, everything. I’m going to do that for a while.”
