The Los Angeles Dodgers bullpen has found itself in a bit of a flux as of late, as All-Star closer Kenley Jansen continues to work his way back from an irregular heartbeat.

While Jansen hopes to be cleared after a follow-up appointment with his cardiologist on Monday, an additional trio of arms have since joined him on the 10-day disabled list.

Newly-acquired John Axford was recently sidelined with a fractured fibula, while Ross Stripling was shut down with lower back inflammation.

The latest to join them was right-hander Erik Goeddel, who was placed on the 10-day disabled with inflammation in his right elbow.

His recent flare-up warranted an X-ray, to which it revealed that no further damage was found, via Andy McCullough of the L.A. Times:

Goeddel reported discomfort after the game Wednesday. “He felt kind of unstable, and there was some pain there,” Roberts said. An X-ray on the elbow did not reveal any damage, Roberts said.

Goeddel was previously sidelined with right lat inflammation and missed the minimum of 10 days. He made just one appearance in his brief return off the disabled list, logging 1.1 innings of scoreless relief against the San Francisco Giants on Aug. 15.

That no further damage was discovered in Goeddel’s elbow is certainly a good sign, though there is no timetable on when he’ll take the mound again.

Having seen time with both the Seattle Mariners and Dodgers this season, Goeddel has posted a 2.95 ERA, 3.90 FIP and 1.26 WHIP with 44 strikeouts compared to 20 walks in 36.2 innings (31 games).
