The Los Angeles Dodgers concluded their road trip on a positive note by slugging their way to a 13-0 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks to take the series at Chase Field.

They were led by four hits from AJ Pollock and Justin Turner’s four RBI, both of which were game-highs. Pollock’s first hit wound up leading to big second inning as it was followed by Austin Barnes and Billy McKinney drawing walks to load the bases with nobody out.

Diamondbacks starter Caleb Smith nearly worked out of the jam but walked Chris Taylor with two outs. Turner then hit an RBI single and Albert Pujols capped off the two-out rally by clearing the bases with a double.

The Dodgers added to their lead in the fifth inning on McKinney’s RBI single and a wild pitch bringing in another run. Pollock continued his hot hitting with an RBI double in both the sixth and eighth innings.

Turner launched a three-run homer in the seventh inning. It marked a second consecutive game he hit a home run into the Diamondbacks’ bullpen and it gave him 20 overall this season, which is second to Max Muncy (22) for the team lead.

Mookie Betts capped off the big day with a leadoff home run in the ninth inning that hit off the foul pole. Betts went 2-for-5 with the homer and walk in his return.

Urias, Dodgers bullpen dominate

The early run support was more than enough for Julio Urias and string of relief pitchers. Urias allowed just four hits and collected seven strikeouts over five scoreless innings.

He was was followed by Phil Bickford, David Price and Yefry Ramirez combining to throw four hitless innings.
