Dodgers Arbitration Rumors: Alex Call Agrees To Contract For 2026 Season

Alex Call was among the nine Los Angeles Dodgers players who went into the offseason eligible for salary arbitration in 2026, but that group had been pared down before the Nov. 21 deadline to tender contracts.

Among other moves, Ben Rortvedt reportedly avoided arbitration with the Dodgers before going on waivers and being claimed by the Cincinnati Reds.

More recently, Brusdar Graterol agreed to a one-year, $2.8 million contract for the 2026 season.

Now, ahead of Thursday’s deadline to reach contract agreements with remaining arbitration-eligible players, Call and the Dodgers came to terms on a one-year deal worth $1.6 million, according to Jack Harris of the California Post:

In addition to Call, Brock Stewart signed a one-year deal to avoid arbitration. Anthony Banda is the only remaining Dodgers’ player who has not yet been reported as signed.

Call was arbitration-eligible for the first time in his career as a Super 2 player. MLB Trade Rumors projected him to receive a $1.5 million salary for the 2026 season.

The Dodgers acquired Call from the Washington Nationals at the MLB trade deadline last year and he wound up being part of their World Series roster. The 31-year-old hit .247/.333/.384 with four doubles, two home runs and five RBI in 38 games with L.A.

Alex Call enjoyed World Series celebrations

After winning the World Series, Call and other Dodgers teammates received a hero’s welcome throughout Los Angeles.

He was part of a group that made a visit to Crypto.com Arena earlier this offseason to watch the Los Angeles Lakers and Los Angeles Kings play, where they were recognized for their accomplishments.

Call has enjoyed getting to celebrate the Dodgers’ second consecutive title in the city and said it is something he will forever cherish.
