The 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers World Series ring was presented to players and coaches during a pregame ceremony on Friday to cap off a two-day celebration at Dodger Stadium.

It was an event many players were looking forward to, and only a select few had the opportunity to see some design details of the ring beforehand. Freddie Freeman was among them, and based on pictures he saw, remarked during the spring that the newest Dodgers World Series ring is “special.”

Dodgers owner Mark Walter, president and CEO Stan Kasten, president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and general manager Brandon Gomes took the stage to present the coaching staff and players with their rings.

They came inside a large blue ring box with the Dodgers World Series champions logo emblazoned on top and inside of it is a screen that plays highlights from the 2024 postseason.

The 2024 Dodgers World Series ring opens on top and inside are eight diamonds to reflect the franchise’s championships. Also included on the backside of the ring lid is the updated Dodgers City Connect logo that was introduced in 2024.

On the inside portion of the ring are 34 sapphires to honor Fernando Valenzuela. Along the bottom of the finger portion of the ring are five diamonds to represent deficit the Dodgers overcame against the New York Yankees in Game 5 of the World Series.

The 2024 Dodgers World Series ring is 14-karat yellow gold with more than 300 diamonds and an estimated 120 sapphires.

“The 2024 season was nothing short of remarkable for the Dodgers. Following a dominant World Series win, we are honored to be trusted as the official championship ring partner of the Los Angeles Dodgers,” said Chris Poitras, SVP & GM of Jostens Professional Sports Division.

“This stunning ring embodies the Dodgers’ incredible season and World Series title through intricate details and expert craftsmanship.”

Jostens also designed the Dodgers ring for 2020, which was 14 karats, featured white and yellow gold with diamonds and sapphires throughout. That ring had approximately 222 round diamonds, 10 princess-cut diamonds, 45 custom-cut genuine sapphires and eight round genuine sapphires.

Freddie Freeman embraced Dodgers World Series ring ceremony

While several Dodgers began to turn their focus to the 2025 season upon reporting to Camelback Ranch for the start of Spring Training, Freeman took a different stance in balancing the past with the present.

“I’m looking forward to the ring and ceremony in L.A. to be able to celebrate with the fans. They come out and spend their hard-earned money. You can still appreciate what we were able to accomplish last year and get ready for this year,” Freeman recently said.

“I think we’re doing a really good job of that. I’m looking forward to 2025, but I can also appreciate what we did. I’m excited for the ring, excited for Opening Day in L.A. It’s going to be a great thing. For me, every single year is the same.

“I’m just trying to win a championship, so for me, it’s easy to focus on the now. But I can still appreciate last year.”
