Joe Davis Makes Fall Classic Debut As Part Of FOX Sports 25th World Series Broadcast

The World Series stage is set between the Philadelphia Phillies and Houston Astros, with Game 1 taking place on Friday at 5 p.m. PT from Minute Maid Park.

For the 25th time, the World Series is being broadcasted exclusively by Fox Sports. Their coverage is also available on Fox Deportes and the Fox Sports app. But for the first time in more than two decades, the game will not be called by Joe Buck.

Instead, Joe Davis is making his Fall Classic debut as the new voice of the World Series, alongside Emmy Award winner and first-ballot Hall of Famer John Smoltz.

Davis and Smoltz team with Emmy Award-winning reporters Ken Rosenthal and Tom Verducci, with Fox Sports lead producer Pete Macheska working his 19th World Series and lead director Matt Gangl his sixth.

Friday’s MLB Pregame show live from Minute Maid Park is slated for 4:00 p.m. with host Kevin Burkhardt anchoring the Emmy Award-winning studio desk, which includes Hall of Famers Frank Thomas and David Ortiz alongside World Series champion Alex Rodriguez.

The World Series on Fox is available in 4K HDR through the Fox Now and Fox Sports apps. Fox Sports 4K is also available from select partners such as Xfinity, DirecTV, Dish Network, Verizon Fios, Cox Contour TV, Optimum, FuboTV, YouTube TV and others.
