Watch: Blake Snell’s Introductory Press Conference At Dodger Stadium

The Los Angeles Dodgers are formally introducing Blake Snell during a press conference at Dodger Stadium on Tuesday, beginning at 2:30 p.m. PT.

Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman and general manager Brandon Gomes are going to join Snell from the Stadium Club at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers signed Snell to a five-year, $182 million contract, which helped them accomplish their goal of adding a frontline starting pitcher this offseason. The deal reportedly includes a $52 million signing bonus, deferred salary and a limited no-trade clause.

The New York Yankees, Boston Red Sox and Baltimore Orioles were interested in Snell before he agreed to sign with the Dodgers.

That was a change from the previous offseason, when the left-hander didn’t have much of a market and signed with the San Francisco Giants after Spring Training began.

The delayed start, coupled with some early injuries, led to an inconsistent first half of the 2024 season for Snell. However, he recaptured his previous form after the All-Star break and posted the lowest ERA among qualified starting pitchers.

Snell finished 5-3 with a 3.12 ERA, 2.43 FIP and 1.05 WHIP across 20 starts for the Giants while posting a 24.2% strikeout to walk ratio.

The Seattle native will enter his 10th Major League campaign and has compiled a 76-58 record with a 3.19 ERA and 1,368 strikeouts in nine seasons with Tampa Bay Rays (2016-2020), San Diego Padres (2021-2023) and San Francisco Giants (2024).

In a video shared by the team, Snell introduced himself to Dodgers fans and said he is looking forward to helping the franchise win more World Series titles.
