The Los Angeles Dodgers boast one of the strongest fanbases in Major League Baseball, and that was evident when the club surpassed three million fans in home attendance during the 2017 season.

A plethora of celebrities were spotted at Dodger Stadium for Games 1 and 2 of the World Series, including Ken Jeong, Larry King, George Lopez, Rob Lowe, Justin Timberlake and wife Jessica Biel. The list goes on, as Ellen DeGeneres and Nick Jonas, to name a few, have also shown their support for the Dodgers in recent days on social media.

Many athletes and other professional sports teams have also expressed a rooting interest in the Dodgers for their matchup with the Houston Astros.

That includes one of the top quarterbacks in the NFL, the Oakland Raiders’ Derek Carr, is not only rooting for the Dodgers, but predicting a World Series championship for the club, per Paul Gutierrez of ESPN:

I asked Derek Carr for his World Series prediction. “Dodgers,” Carr said. “C’mon man, my first games growing up living in Bakersfield were Dodger games. Definitely the Dodgers. Definitely rooted for them since I was little. I was rooting for Aaron (Judge) to make it, but that’s alright.”

In addition to the Dodgers, Carr is an avid fan of the Los Angeles Lakers and Kobe Bryant. Carr grew up in Fresno, Calif., and attended Fresno State University.

A two-time Pro Bowler, Carr owns a 3-3 record this season with a career-best 64.9 completion percentage. Since 2015, he’s tossed 71 touchdowns while amassing over 8,000 yards in the air and 200 yards on the ground.

With the Raiders’ expected move to Las Vegas in 2020, fans around the Southern California area will soon have a much more convenient path to attend games.
