The San Diego Padres and Los Angeles Dodgers conclude their three-game series at Dodger Stadium in front of a national audience for ESPN Sunday Night Baseball.

The telecast will include new Padres star Juan Soto mic’d up for, along with an in-game tribute to Vin Scully. Honoring the longtime voice of the Dodgers will feature Walter O’Malley’s grandson, Peter Seidler, who is owner of the Padres.

ESPN’s coverage starts at 3 p.m. PT with “Baseball Tonight,” hosted by Kevin Connors and including analysts Xavier Scruggs and Tim Kurkjian, and MLB insider Jeff Passan.

The Padres-Dodgers game additionally will be available on ESPN radio with John Schriffen and Chris Burke handling the call. Ernesto Jerez, Orlando “El Duque” Hernandez and Guillermo Celis are working the ESPN Deportes broadcast.

Sunday Night Baseball added a weekly mic’d up segment this season in which players not only offer insight to the broadcast, but also pass along the honor. Justin Turner was mic’d up for a Dodgers game at Wrigley Field earlier this season, and he nominated fellow Vayner Sports client Harrison Bader for the following week.

Soto was the prize of the trade deadline this season, and the Padres landed the superstar, along with Josh Bell, over the Dodgers and St. Louis Cardinals, among other teams. The Dodgers reportedly made a strong effort, but it’s unclear what their trade proposals to the Washington Nationals were.

“Obviously it’s hard for me to get into specifics on that. I think everyone knows us well enough to know that we’ll be aggressive pursuing different things,” Dodgers president of baseball operations Andrew Friedman said after the trade deadline.

“But out of respect to to Washington, and also San Diego, it’s hard to get into specifics there. But I think our track record would suggest that obviously we would have been aggressive in trying to figure something out.”

After receiving a “future Dodger” chant during the All-Star Game and cheers when the Nationals visited Dodger Stadium, Soto has been booed by Dodgers fans throughout the weekend.

Dodgers on Sunday Night Baseball schedule

The Padres and Dodgers are scheduled to be back on ESPN Sunday Night Baseball on Sept. 4, for another finale of a three-game set at Dodger Stadium.
