The Los Angeles Dodgers are ranked as the No. 1 team on MLB The Show 22, which is out now on Playstation, Xbox and for the first time on Nintendo Switch.

Along with taking the top spot in ranking, they are rated as the No. 1 team in contact and power, the No. 2 team in pitching and defense, and the No. 5 team in speed. The Dodgers are also the only team to appear in the top five of all the categories.

The next closest team is the Toronto Blue Jays, placing second overall with the third-ranked contact and power, sixth-ranked pitching, ninth-ranked defense, and eighth-ranked speed.

The Dodgers roster is led by a lot of star power at the top, with eight players rated as 90 overall or better, including Trea Turner, Freddie Freeman, Clayton Kershaw, Walker Buehler, Mookie Betts, Max Muncy, Will Smith and Julio Urias.

No other team has more than three players rated as 90 overalls or better. The teams with three are the New York Yankees (Aaron Judge, Gerrit Cole, Joey Gallo), Atlanta Braves (Ronald Acuña Jr., Ozzie Albies, Matt Olson), Philadelphia Phillies (Bryce Harper, Zack Wheeler, JT Realmuto) and the Milwaukee Brewers (Corbin Burnes, Brandon Woodruff, Josh Hader).

Trea Turner is the highest-rated position player on the Dodgers roster with a 96 overall, which is tied with San Diego Padres All-Star Fernando Tatis Jr. as the top shortstop in the game. No other shortstop is rated in the 90 overall tier, and former Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager checks in as an 80 overall.

Freeman, the newest Dodgers’ superstar, was given an overall of 93, which is tied for second on the Dodgers’ roster and second among all first baseman, behind Vladimir Guerrero Jr. (96) of the Toronto Blue Jays.

Kershaw is still the team’s highest-rated pitcher, coming in at a 93 overall, one point above Buehler’s 92 rating and three above Urias’ 90. Kershaw’s 93 rating has him tied for the fifth spot among starting pitchers with Boston Red Sox ace Chris Sale.

The two veteran southpaws trail the pair of New York Mets aces Jacob DeGrom (99) and Max Scherzer (97), the L.A. Angels two-way superstar Shohei Ohtani (95) and Burnes, the Milwaukee Brewers 2021 National League Cy Young Award winner coming in at 94.

Craig Kimbrel was given an 82 overall rating, which is four points behind the club’s former closer Kenley Jansen, who signed with the Atlanta Braves this offseason.
