ESPN To Televise 3 Games Of Dodgers-Cubs Series At Dodger Stadium

ESPN announced its television schedule for next month, and the upcoming series between the Los Angeles Dodgers and Chicago Cubs from June 25-28 will be well-represented on their network.

The first three games of the series, from Monday to Wednesday, will all be televised on ESPN, with the first and the last having no blackout restrictions in Los Angeles or Chicago. The first three games of the series are scheduled for 7:10 p.m. PT starts, with the finale on Thursday, June 28, being the only day game and a 12:10 p.m. start time.

The series will be a much-anticipated one considering the two teams have met in the last two National League Championship Series.

In their first meeting in 2016, the Cubs defeated the Dodgers in six games en route to their first World Series championship in 108 years. The Dodgers were able to get their revenge a year later, beating the Cubs in five games, although they wound up losing to the Houston Astros in the World Series.

Both teams have not played their best baseball yet in 2018 despite going on hot streaks in recent weeks. At 29-22 entering play Wednesday, the Cubs are in second place in the NL Central, 3.5 games behind the Milwaukee Brewers.

At 25-29, the Dodgers currently sit in third place in the NL West, behind the Colorado Rockies and Arizona Diamondbacks. Despite the slow starts, both the Dodgers and Cubs are still considered the favorites to win their respective divisions.

The two teams will meet twice in the span of a week as they will first play at Wrigley Field for a three-game series from June 18-20.
