Los Angeles Dodgers fans were spoiled for more than a handful of decades with one of the best broadcasters of all time, Vin Scully, calling their games from 1950 until 2016.

Scully may have retired in 2016, but he still remains involved in the organization and recently created a social media count to continue connecting with the fans. Sunday marked Scully’s 93rd birthday, and the Dodgers posted a video to Twitter to honor the legend.

Pioneers of the baseball, sports and broadcasting worlds such as Bob Costas, Joe Torre, Joe Buck, Magic Johnson, Peter O’Malley, Steve Garvey, Jaime Jarrín, Al Michaels, the late great Kobe Bryant and Tommy Lasorda all participating to pay tribute.

Jarrin, who has been the Dodgers’ Spanish-language broadcaster for 60 years and a legend in his own right, also took to social media to personally wish Scully a happy birthday.

“The best to ever sit behind a microphone to call a Major League Baseball game, or any game, is Vin Scully.”

While Scully may be 93, his mind is still as sharp as ever. Dodger fans certainly appreciate the knowledge he continues to share with them, cherishing the lasting memories from a living legend.

Scully to narrate Dodgers’ World Series DVD

Scully got the chance to witness the Dodgers win the World Series for the first time since 1988 after they defeated the Tampa Bay Rays in six games. It was a historic season for the Dodgers, who had the best record in baseball in the regular season and overcame all obstacles to win it all.

The organization will soon be coming out with a DVD to commemorate the World Series win, and Scully will be the one narrating it, making it an absolute must-watch.
