As part of their flurry of roster moves on Friday, the Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Rob Segedin from Triple-A Oklahoma City. He joins the team, along with Andre Ethier and Clayton Kershaw each coming off the disabled list, and O’Koyea Dickson and Alex Verdugo having their contracts selected.

This marks Segedin’s third stint with the Dodgers. He was reinstated from the 60-day disabled list last month after missing 102 games. Segedin’s DL stint began in April and was initially for a right great toe strain.

He underwent right wrist surgery May 31 to remove a bone spur, which led to his not returning until August. Segedin took the place of Chris Hatcher on the Dodgers’ 40-man roster when the right-hander was traded to the Oakland Athletics.

He went 0-for-3 in one start prior to being optioned to Oklahoma City when Adrian Gonzalez returned from the 60-day DL on Aug. 18.

Segedin has only appeared in three games (two starts) with the Dodgers this season and is 1-for-7 with two strikeouts. He batted .233/.301/.370 with two doubles, one triple, two home runs and 12 RBI in 40 games last season, while providing positional flexibility.

Over 25 games with Oklahoma City this season, the 28-year-old hit .320/.347/.515 with seven doubles, four home runs and 15 RBI.
