In addition to unveiling several promotional items for the 2017 regular season, the Los Angeles Dodgers also introduced a slew of new food options that are now available at Dodger Stadium. It’s the culinary work of executive chef Ryan Evans, who is in his first season at Chavez Ravine.

Arguably the most notable change at Dodger Stadium in 2017 is a King’s Hawaiian Grill replacing the Think Blue BBQ in the left field plaza. It will incorporate the famous King’s Hawaiian rolls, and the location includes tables that make it ideal for group gatherings.

Steve Garvey will hold special events at King’s Hawaiian Grill throughout the season. Among the items on the menu are Big Island Lava Wings, pulled pork sliders and a Hawaiian BBQ Dodger Dog that’s made with a King’s Hawaiian hot dog bun and topped with pulled pork and King’s Hawaiian original sweet pineapple BBQ sauce.

Considering its popularity, rather than completely remove the Think Blue BBQ, it’s been relocated to the right field Reserve Level.

As for an individual item that’s new to Dodger Stadium, none is more intriguing and innovative than the Dodger Burger.

A one-third angus patty is topped with a Dodger Dog, caramelized onions, Budweiser BBQ sauce and beer battered jalapeños. It will be available at a Bud and Burgers stand on the third-base side of Field Level.

Expanding on a craze that’s become with tater tots, the Dodgers have installed a Lots of Tots stand on the first-base side of Field Level (aisle eight).

The tots are available in two offerings: one is tossed in fresh garlic, oil, Parmesan cheese and parsley. The other is topped with chili cheese, using “house made chili and cheese” that’s exclusive to the tots stands.

Also available at the Lots of Tots stands is a Chick-N-Tots option. House marinated chicken that is prepared overnight can be tossed in buffalo sauce or ordered naked.

Extreme loaded hotdogs have become a staple at Dodger Stadium, and this season sees a Shock Top Bratwurst added to the lineup.

A Levy exclusive, the spicy pork bratwurst link infused with Shock Top beer is served on a warm bun with caramelized onions and spicy brown mustard. The new loaded dog is available at all Extreme Loaded Dog Stands — Field Level (aisle 48), Loge Level (aisle 135) and Reserve Level (aisle two).

What had historically been lacking at Dodger Stadium appears to be solved this season. Funnel cakes, handmade churros, deep fried Oreos and Twinkies will be available at Trolley Dodger Treats.

Funnel cakes are topped with powdered sugar, chocolate or strawberry drizzle and whipped cream. Churros come with blue ice cream.

For the more health-conscious group, BaseBowls will be available on the third-base side of Field Level. The Tuna Poke Bowl features Ahi tuna, rice, edamame, cucumber, carrots, wakame, sesame seeds and ponzu sauce. Also available are Vietnamese Rice Noodle, Kalua Pork and Teriyaki Chicken bowls.

In addition to the poke bowls, fans can enjoy a Mediterranean quinoa salad and strawberry and beets salad, fresh sandwiches and grilled vegetable flatbread from United Healthcare Market Place locations on Field Level (aisle five), Loge Level (aisle 137) and Reserve Level (aisle five) when looking to eat light.

While the Dodgers have made recent strides in improving the menu at Dodger Stadium, this season’s efforts appear to be their most complete effort. “My goal is for Dodger Stadium to have the best stadium food in the country,” Evans said.
