Los Angeles Dodgers utility man Chris Taylor is hosting the first annual “Home Run for Hope” to raise awareness for childhood cancer. The virtual event will take place on Friday, March 26, from 5 p.m. to 7 p.m. PT.

Home Run for Hope is a one-night-only evening of music, giveaways and celebrity auction items. Country music stars Brad Paisley, Jake Owen and Scotty McCreery are among the scheduled performers.

Also scheduled to appear during the event are Shy Carter, Tierra, D. Vincent Williams and Alexander Ludwig. There additionally will be surprise guests and a surprise artist to close out the show.

A ticket can be purchased with a minimum $40 donation on homerunforhope.com. All proceeds will benefit the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters and Roc Solid Foundation in support of the fight against pediatric cancer.

Over the past 50 years, the Children’s Hospital of The King’s Daughters has grown into a 206-bed teaching hospital that is the heart of an extensive pediatric healthcare system. Every day, dozens of children are admitted to the Virginia-based hospital.

The Roc Solid Foundation is a 501c3 nonprofit that builds hope for kids fighting cancer. Founded by pediatric cancer survivor Eric Newman, the organization is best known for giving Ready Bags to families when their child is first diagnosed, as well as providing backyard play sets to kids during treatment.

The Roc Solid Foundation, though also based in Virginia, is growing both programs nationwide with the hope of uplifting every child diagnosed with cancer in the United States.

Taylor explains why he formed the CT3 Foundation

After seeing several of his childhood friends get diagnosed with a rare form of bone cancer in recent years, Taylor formed the CT3 Foundation to raise money for kids with cancer and help the lives of all those affected.
