After making two starts for Double-A Tulsa, right-hander Carlos Frias was added to the Triple-A Oklahoma City roster. Jeremy Kehrt was sent to the Drillers in a corresponding move.

Frias is scheduled to start Sunday’s four-game series finale against the Salt Lake Bees (Los Angeles Angels of Anaheim affiliate). He was included on the Oklahoma City Opening Day roster, but strained an oblique muscle during a bullpen session on April 7 and was placed on the disabled list two days later.

Frias tossed a combined seven innings for the Drillers, allowing one run on three hits and collecting five strikeouts. In seven games (two starts) this spring, Frias was 1-1 with a 3.44 ERA and 1.36 WHIP.

The 26-year-old right-hander entered the picture for the fifth starter job when Mike Bolsinger suffered an oblique strain. However, that went to Ross Stripling, who is 1-3 with a 5.06 ERA, 3.79 FIP and 1.41 WHIP in nine starts for the Los Angeles Dodgers.

The Dodgers utilized Frias as somewhat of a swing man in 2015 in response to losing Brandon McCarthy and Hyun-Jin Ryu to season-ending surgeries.

Frias appeared in 17 games (13 starts), going 5-5 with a 4.06 ERA, 4.32 FIP and 1.47 WHIP. At the time of discussing Frias’ rehab assignment with the Drillers, Roberts said the Dodgers intend to treat him as a starter.
