The long MLB offseason is entering its final stages as the start of Spring Training is less than a month away. Los Angeles Dodgers pitchers and catchers are due at Camelback Ranch on Friday, Feb. 14, with the first full-squad workout scheduled to take place four days later.

While the past week has been a hectic one for the sport, several Dodgers players are enjoying what’s left of their free time before ramping up baseball activities again.

Gavin Lux, Matt Beaty and prospect Kody Hoese were recently on hand at Staples Center, taking in an L.A. Kings game with rapper YG, Rams All-Pro running back Todd Gurley and teammate John Johnson III, via the Kings’ official Twitter:

Lux was seated next to Gurley, and together, put on a show for the fans by chugging their respective cups of beer. While the Kings are in the midst of another trying season, they were able to snap a three-game losing streak by defeating the Vegas Golden Knights, 5-2.

Lux, Beaty and Hoese catching a Kings game together is just another example of L.A. athletes showing support for other teams in the city. Last October, Joc Pederson was spotted at the MLS playoff matchup between the LAFC and L.A. Galaxy.

More recently, Cody Bellinger served as an honorary captain at a Los Angeles Lakers game, sitting courtside with Kenley Jansen and Tommy Lasorda.

Dodgers Spanish-language broadcaster Jaime Jarrín additionally attended his first Kings game earlier this month and raved about the experience.

The Dodgers and Kings have a longstanding relationship in which both teams annually pay homage to each other during regular season games. The Dodgers every year host a Kings Night at Dodger Stadium as part of their promotional calendar.

During the summer months it’s not uncommon to find Jeff Carter, Alec Martinez, Tyler Toffoli and others taking part in batting practice at Chavez Ravine.

The Kings also host a Dodgers Night at Staples Center every year, with players wearing baseball-themed jerseys for their warmups. In 2018, Kiké Hernandez represented the team by dropping the first puck.
