In addition to new Dodger Stadium lights being installed at the start of the 2023 season, the Los Angeles Dodgers also unveiled drone shows that have become part of their yearly promotional calendar.
“I don’t know if any of you have ever seen a drone show with hundreds of drones working in sequence, doing all kinds of shapes and effects, it’s the coolest thing ever,” Dodgers president and CEO Stan Kasten said when discussing the new addition.
“I love fireworks, you love fireworks, but you will really come to love the drone shows.”
Dodger Stadium drone shows are held on Friday nights, though they have not fully replaced fireworks. Drone light shows are better suited for the environment and also afford more flexibility in the event of a game running late because they are silent and won’t violate the noise ordinance.
Dodgers drone shows are themed and have often paid tribute to franchise icons. Los Angeles Lakers legend Kobe Bryant also was recognized, and this year the Dodgers celebrated their 2024 World Series title.
Dodgers drone shows schedule 2025
March 28 vs. Tigers
The Dodgers’ first drone show of the 2025 season paid tribute to the team’s eighth World Series title.
April 11 vs. Cubs
The Dodgers announced during the third inning that evening’s drone show was canceled due to unforeseen circumstances.
May 16 vs. Angels
Following the series opener against the Los Angeles Angels, a drone show will be dedicated to musical groups that have performed at Dodger Stadium.
June 13 vs. Giants
The Dodgers’ first meeting of the season with their longtime rival is going to be accompanied by a drone show. The theme has not yet been announced.
June 20 vs. Nationals
One night before the Ice Cube bobblehead giveaway, fans will be treated to a light show after the series opener against the Washington Nationals.
July 3 vs. White Sox
The only scheduled Dodger Stadium drone show that isn’t taking place on Friday.
Aug. 15 vs. Padres
Aug. 29 vs. Diamondbacks
Sept. 19 vs. Giants
