Los Angeles Dodgers shortstop Corey Seager is fourth among players at his position in the latest Major League Baseball All-Star Game voting update. Seager’s 476,525 votes have him well behind Chicago Cubs shortstop Addison Russell, who leads the position group with 1,170,012 votes.

The Cubs’ overall dominance in voting continues, with Anthony Rizzo still leading first basemen, Ben Zobrist at second base, Kris Bryant at third base, and Dexter Fowler and Jason Heyward ranking first and fourth, respectively, in outfielder voting.

Entering play on Wednesday, Seager leads the Dodgers in total hits (71), batting average (.280), slugging percentage (.512), home runs (15) and RBIs (36). He’s second on the team in on-base plus slugging (.853) and fourth in on-base percentage (.342).

Seager’s on-base plus slugging percentage ranks third among all National League shortstops. As for Adrian Gonzalez, who up until this point had been the Dodgers’ lone representative in the previous two voting updates, he dropped one spot to fourth.

Rizzo is again followed by San Francisco’s Brandon Belt (584,533 votes), while Arizona’s Paul Goldschmidt has surpassed Gonzalez with 485,008 votes to 474,762. Gonzalez is batting .268/.347/.386 this season, but has endured a rough June.

The 2016 MLB All-Star Game will be played on Tuesday, July 12 at Petco Park. Voting can be completed through June at dodgers.com/vote.
