The Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation celebrated Halloween by wearing the same costumes players did from their annual dress-up day during the regular season.

Among other highlights, LADF chief executive officer Nichol Whiteman went as Maverick from the “Top Gun” movie. Whiteman’s Dodgers counterpart was Bobby Miller, who was Maverick and paired with AM 570 L.A. Sports reporter David Vassegh as Rooster.

Chief program officer Dr. Manny A. Aceves wore the same costume as Freddie Freeman, which gave off the impression of being carried on the shoulders of a brown bear.

Erin Edwards, director of marketing and communications, replicated Clayton Kershaw’s look of a “Baywatch” lifeguard.

Giovanna Petrillo, who helps lead development from the Dodgers Foundation, dressed as Austin Powers. That was the costume Ryan Pepiot chose as he paired with fellow rookie Emmet Sheehan, who chose Dr. Evil.

Additional LADF staff members dressed as University of Colorado football head coach Deion Sanders and his coaching staff.

Dodgers manager Dave Roberts went as Coach Prime, with Bob Geren and the Dodgers coaching staff filling the role of Colorado assistants. Though, pitching coach Mark Prior was the lone member of the staff to not join Roberts with Colorado, instead dressing at USC head coach Lincoln Riley.

That was also reflected by the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation. They additionally followed the costume leads of J.D. Martinez, Amed Rosario and social media director Sue Jo.

Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation 10 years reimagined

The 2023 MLB season coincided with the LADF celebrating their 10th anniversary. That was on display at various events and initiatives throughout the year, and in particular the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation Blue Diamond Gala at Dodger Stadium.

The event raised $3.5 million and the Dodgers Foundation is on track to reach $100 million by 2024.
