FOCO unveiled a special release of a limited edition Freddie Freeman bobblehead to commemorate his signing with the Los Angeles Dodgers. The bobbleheads are individually numbered out of 422 and will no longer be available after selling out.
FOCO did similar releases when the Dodgers signed Albert Pujols, and again with their trade for Max Scherzer and Trea Turner during the 2021 regular season. A leading manufacturer of sports and entertainment merchandise, FOCO also has various Dodgers apparel and more available.
In addition to a Freeman bobblehead, FOCO has various themed versions available.
Freeman’s six-year, $162 million contract was made official by the Dodgers on Friday morning. He was then formally introduced during a press conference at Camelback Ranch shortly after.
Up to this point, Freeman had spent the entirety of his professional career with the Atlanta Braves after being drafted in the second round in 2007. Free agency began with an expectation Freeman would re-sign with the Braves, but they remained in disagreement over the length of a new contract.
Atlanta wound up pivoting to trade for Matt Olson, who then signed an eight-year, $168 million contract extension. That further opened the door for the Dodgers, and after initially proposing a short-term deal, they met Freeman’s preferred length.
What jersey is Freddie Freeman wearing?
Like he did with the Braves, Freeman will wear a No. 5 jersey for the Dodgers. That possibility was created by Corey Seager signing with the Texas Rangers early into free agency.
