The Los Angeles Dodgers look to increase their winning streak to six games and win their second straight series as they face the Toronto Blue Jays in the middle of a three-game set.

Tyler Glasnsow gets the start for the seventh time this season and coming off one of his best starts. The right-hander last pitched eight shutout innings, allowing seven hits and striking out 10 with no walks against the New York Mets.

That start ended the Dodgers’ losing streak and rough patch while putting them on their current winning streak, however, he didn’t feel any pressure to stop the skid they were on.

Glasnow has been the ace the Dodgers needed, pitching to a 2.92 ERA with 44 strikeouts and a 0.95 WHIP across 37 innings.

Spending much of his career with the Tampa Bay Rays, Glasnow is quite familiar with the Blue Jays, but he hasn’t pitched in Toronto since 2019. He’s made four starts in Canada, pitching to a 6.19 ERA across 16 innings, and against the Blue Jays in general, he’s posted a 6.86 ERA in 39.1 innings.

The Blue Jays counter with Yusei Kikuchi, a veteran left-hander from Japan. Kikuchi has had a fantastic start to his season, with a 2.28 ERA and 1.08 WHIP across 27.2 innings with 33 strikeouts.

He’s in his third season with the Blue Jays after spending three with the Seattle Mariners, posting a career 4.61 ERA over 661.2 innings.

The Dodgers have struggled against left-handers this season, and they again run out a lineup that features mutliple platoon players starting, including Kiké Hernández, Miguel Rojas and Chris Taylor.
