The Los Angeles Dodgers have taken to social media in recent years to raise awareness for a number of worthwhile causes, often doing so by participating in viral challenges and encouraging others to follow suit.

Led by Kiké Hernandez and Yasiel Puig, the Dodgers took part in the Lemon Face challenge this past April to show their support for Aubreigh Nicholas, an 11-year-old who was diagnosed with Diffuse Intrinsic Pontine Glioma (a rare and inoperable brain tumor).

The Dodgers latest contingent to get behind a cause was led by Joc Pederson, as he recently took the NEGU (Never Ever Give Up) challenge to stand with the Jessie Rees Foundation in honor of Childhood Cancer Awareness Month:

Pederson was since joined by Justin Turner, to which he issued a challenge to Hernandez:

Naturally, Hernandez posted a photo on Instagram in support of children battling a form of cancer after accepting Turner’s challenge:

More Dodgers recently got involved as Chase Utley and Manny Machado also joined the NEGU movement:

Participating in the NEGU challenge is encouraged, as every photo that’s uploaded to Instagram will garner a donation of $25, which goes toward children battling the disease.

According to the Jessie Rees Foundation’s official website, over $3 million was raised in 2017 because of the widespread awareness that led to many people participating in the NEGU challenge.
