The Los Angeles Dodgers reinstated Julio Urias from the 10-day injured list and designated Neftalí Féliz for assignment prior to Tuesday’s game against the San Diego Padres.

Urias returns on the first day he was eligible and takes the ball in the series opener at Petco Park. He had been sidelined due to a left calf contusion that was a result of being hit by a pitch in his start against the New York Mets.

Presumably due to some tightness developing in the calf, Urias threw just five innings in the outing at Citi Field despite only allowing two hits and collecting five strikeouts. Urias has logged five innings in each of his past three starts.

He faces the Padres for only a second time this season. In a June 21 start at Petco Park, Urias was knocked around for six runs on six hits, including two homers, in just four innings of work.

Féliz joined the Dodgers’ active roster on Aug. 16 but didn’t appear in a game for the club until this past Sunday. He retired all three Mets batters faced, collecting one strikeout in the process.

Féliz signed a Minor League contract with the Dodgers during the first week of July. He made one appearance for the Philadelphia Phillies prior to being outrighted and signing with L.A. Féliz appeared in 13 games for Oklahoma City, going 2-1 with a 3.38 ERA.

Dodgers lose Greene

In order to finalize the signing of Shane Greene, the Dodgers designated Conner Greene for assignment. He didn’t clear waivers as the Baltimore Orioles reunited with the right-hander by claiming him.

The Dodgers claimed Greene off waivers from the Orioles on Aug. 9.
