The Los Angeles Dodgers announced a multi-year agreement with Tsukiji Gindaco to make the Tokyo-based food provider a partner of the team.

“Tsukiji Gindaco marks a valued addition to the Dodgers’ partnership family,” Dodgers executive vice president and chief marketing officer Lon Rosen said in a statement. “The company’s easy-to-eat Takoyaki is already a hit among Dodger fans, emblematic of a burgeoning relationship between our two organizations and brands.”

With the partnership, Tsukiji Gindaco is part of the new Dodger Stadium food options for the 2024 season by selling their Takoyaki (dough balls filled with pieces of octopus) at a concession stand on the field level down the left-field line.

Available at the Tsukiji Gindaco stand are two types of Takoyaki: original, and tempura with sweet and sour.

“We at Tsukiji Gindaco are truly delighted to be a part of the Dodgers family, as the first leading Japanese fast food shop to open a location in Dodger Stadium in decades,” Gindaco founder Morio Sase Tsukiji said.

“We look forward to this partnership and will continue to work with the Dodgers to create a brand that will be loved by Dodger fans and people around the world.”

Tsukiji Gindaco’s Takoyaki has emerged as a staple at baseball stadiums throughout Japan, including the Tokyo Dome, since 2008.

Along with Tsukiji Gindaco, the Dodgers have tapped into the Japanese market through sponsorship agreements with Kinoshita Group, STARLUX Arilines, Toyo Tires, All Nippon Airways, Kosé Corporation, Daiso, Kowa Company, Ltd., THK and Yakult.

Japanese food at Dodger Stadium

In addition to the Tsukiji Gindaco concession stand, more Japanese food items available at Dodger Stadium can be found at Delicious Hospitality.

Among the items on the menu include a chicken katsu sandwich, vegetable tempura, skewer platter, short rib bowl and sushi.
