Starting in six games during the period he was recognized for, Santana hit .429/.429/.821 with two doubles, three home runs and 11 RBI. During the stretch, Santana had a pair of four-hit games, driving in six and four runs, respectively, in those contests.

Appearing in 118 games thus far in 2018, he’s batting .260/.287/.434 with 16 doubles, 23 home runs and 100 RBI.

Santana leads the Quakes in home runs and RBI in what’s his first season with the affiliate. He spent the bulk of 2017 with Low-A Great Lakes while also seeing time with Rookie-level Ogden.

The 21-year-old began his career with the Dodgers in 2014, playing in the Dominican Summer League. He also spent 2015 with that affiliate before coming stateside in 2016 to play in the Arizona Rookie League.

Santana becomes the fourth consecutive member of the Quakes to earn Cal League Player of the Week honors. He joins Cody Thomas, Jared Walker and Carlos Rincon.

The Dodgers have also had prospects or players receive weekly honors in the Midwest League, Texas League and Pacific Coast League this season.
