Known for being a fan of multiple sports aside from baseball, Los Angeles Dodgers All-Star Mookie Betts has a love for bowling and plans to host his first annual charity event in Downtown L.A. on February 8, from 6 p.m. to 11 p.m. at Lucky Strike L.A. Live.

Betts will be joined by many friends for the event, with all proceeds benefitting his charity, The 5050 Foundation, which strives to bring out “every kid’s incredible potential.”

Tickets for the event start at $500 for general admission, which includes drinks, food, red carpet access, and a viewing area to watch the bowling tournament.

Sponsorship opportunities are also available, with the option to contribute a flat-rate donation that will go toward the purchase of toys for kids.

For the eighth consecutive year, Betts and the 5050 Foundation gave back to residents at an assisted living facility in Nashville, Tennessee, in early December. They noted that many of the residents not only could benefit from meals, but clothing was a large need.

The 5050 Foundation is committed to “breaking the barriers that hold kids back, especially when it comes to their medical and financial needs. The Foundation is empowering the next generation to make the most of their lives – and make a bigger difference in our world.”

Betts recently hosted charity bowling event in Nashville, with numerous professional sports greats including Jerome Bettis and Eddie George donating their time.

Mookie Betts hosts second Livestream chat with fans on Twitch

Betts held his second Livestream on Twitch in mid-December where he answered fan questions and had open, candid conversations with members of his Discord channel.

During his first stream, Betts also took part in another Q&A prior to playing Apex Legends, a battle royale shooter game where each team tries to be the last one standing.

Betts has shown his love for gaming and interacting with fans, so it’s safe to assume there will be plenty of opportunities to chat and see a different side of the Dodgers’ superstar right fielder in his life outside of Major League Baseball.
