The Los Angeles Dodgers recalled Josh Sborz and optioned JT Chargois to Triple-A Oklahoma City prior to Friday’s series opener against the Atlanta Braves. Sborz is among the seven rookies who have made their MLB debut with the Dodgers this season.

The right-hander first joined the club in April, however did not appear in a game despite spending six days up from Oklahoma City. Sborz was recalled in June, and that time made his debut against the San Francisco Giants.

He returned again in July and logged two innings at Coors Field. Sborz has allowed a combined six runs on six hits, including one home run in three innings pitched across two appearances for the Dodgers.

The 25-year-old is 4-3 with a 4.27 ERA and 1.30 WHIP in 41 games with Oklahoma City this season. Sborz was selected by the Dodgers in the second round of the 2015 MLB Draft.

Chargois returns to Triple-A after a nearly two-month stretch with the Dodgers. He inherited a bases-loaded jam in Wednesday’s game against the Miami Marlins and allowed three runs in 1.1 innings pitched.

Since being recalled June 20, Chargois went 1-0 with a 5.95 ERA over 19 games. Prior to that, Chargois made two appearances against the St. Louis Cardinals in April, allowing a combined two runs over 1.2 innings.
