The Los Angeles Dodgers salvaged their series with the Miami Marlins, breaking out the bats for a 6-1 win to snap a three-game losing streak at loanDepot park.
L.A. concluded their eight-game road trip on the East Coast with a solid 5-3 record and now return home for one final series against the Arizona Diamondbacks before the All-Star break.
With Dodger Stadium being unoccupied the past week and a half, Grammy Award-winning rapper Drake found a unique way to make use of the ballpark.
He was spotted on a private date Thursday night with model Johanna Leia as the two were waited on in front of the third base dugout, via Chris Cristi of ABC7:

While it’s common to see a plethora of celebrities at Dodger Stadium throughout the year, there has never been an instance in which one rented out the entire ballpark for a private dinner.
Drake brought his A-game as the tables were filled with an assortment of food, champagne bottles and multiple vases. Leia fittingly was wearing a Dodgers jersey during the date, while the hip-hop star had one on as well to start before changing into a sweater.
The Dodgers issued a statement afterward, revealing that Drake made a substantial donation to the Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation to make his private dinner at the ballpark a reality.
Dodger Stadium renovations
When the Dodgers celebrated “Reopening Day” at Dodger Stadium last month, it represented the first time this season fans could enjoy all of the renovations that were completed over the past year and a half.
Among them included the brand new center field plaza, which features batting and pitching cages, turf kids area, Gold Glove bar in the left-field pavilion and the Dodgers’ dugout augmented reality photobooth.
New Dodger Stadium food options, such as Shake Shack and the California Pizza Kitchen (CPK) flagship location, remained open as well.
