Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour 2024: Landon Knack & Nick Frasso Attend Worthy Of Love Birthday Bash

The 2024 Los Angeles Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour continued on Tuesday with the annual Worthy of Love Birthday Bash at Dodger Stadium featuring pitching prospects Landon Knack and Nick Frasso attending the event.

The party was held for 500 homeless youth and their families as they were invited to celebrate their birthdays at Dodger Stadium with Worthy of Love, a non-profit that produces birthday parties and experiences for children experiencing homelessness. They have partnered with the Dodgers for six years now and they are celebrating their 11th anniversary.

“Just very cool to celebrate everyone’s birthdays,” Frasso told DodgerBlue.com. “Me and Knack got a little dance battle out there, took some photos with robots, just overall a great night.”

“Yeah, it was a ton of fun,” Knack added. “Fun to get out here and celebrate some of these kids birthdays and get to have some fun with them, dance a little bit, meet some crazy animals out here. So yeah, it was great to get to spend some time with some kids here.”

The party started with the Dodgers making a $5,000 donation to Worthy of Love, and following that, Knack and Frasso were introduced and quickly inserted into a dance party in the outfield where the two players showed off their best moves while surrounded by kids, dinosaurs and robots.

“The dance battle caught me a little bit off guard, but hey, we took care of business out there,” Frasso said.

Other activities included a petting zoo with a sloth, owl, baby alligator, baby deer and dogs, along with face painting, caricature artists, balloon swords, bracelet designing and running the base. Hot dogs and cake were also given out to everyone in attendance.

Frasso and Knack took part in most of the activities, but spent the majority of their time near the petting zoo and on the dance floor.

“For me, probably just meeting all the kids, their energy was all insane, they were going crazy, dancing, just having a great time,” Frasso said about his favorite part of the night. “So just to be able to see that was pretty special.”

“I would say the happiness in that dance circle and how much fun they were having that entire time was just really fun to see,” Knack said. “So yeah, I’d say probably the dance battle.”

Worthy of Love was founded by Mary Davis, who was inspired by a gift she received from a teacher when she was lonely on her birthday as a five-year-old.

“I felt so seen, I felt so loved,” Davis said during the 2023 birthday bash. “And I knew when I met so many homeless kids in Los Angeles, I wanted to do the same thing for them. Give them a token that says you are worthy of love.

“And they can carry that like I have for the rest of their lives, so they know that their life matters and that they are worthy. When you’re experiencing homelessness, you lose a lot of dignity, and we want to restore that dignity by saying you are worthy.”

2024 Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour

The Dodgers Love L.A. Community Tour began Monday morning with a pair of events, including a stop at the Los Angeles Regional Food Bank in City of Industry.

Staff members from the Dodgers front office, Los Angeles Dodgers Foundation (LADF) and Bank of America employee volunteers spent the day working together to prepare food packages that were going to be used for 3,000 local citizens in need.
