The Los Angeles Dodgers are hitting their stride with their second six-game winning streak in less than three weeks after their 8-2 win over the Miami Marlins.

Their six straight victories matches their season-high and marks an impressive 14-2 record since April 21.

Two separate four run bursts in the first three innings gave the Dodgers and Yoshinobu Yamamoto all the offense they needed to cruise to a win.

A seven run cushion was more than enough run support for Yamamoto, who turned in his best and most efficient performance of the season as he pitched a season-high eight innings.

The Marlins, for the second time in as many games, took an early lead after a first-pitch home run from Jazz Chisholm Jr. However, they weren’t able to hold that lead for more than their half inning.

After a night in which four separate Dodgers homered to power the team to victory, it was Max Muncy’s turn to do damage with his first grand slam of the season, and ninth of the year, to give the Dodgers a 4-1 lead heading into the second inning.

The Dodgers put up another four runs during the third inning that featured a sacrifice fly from Andy Pages, an error from the Marlins and a much needed two-run home run from Gavin Lux.

That is how the score stayed until the Marlins added one more run on a Bryan De La Cruz homer to make the score 8-2, but it proved to be too little, too late. J.P. Feyereisen came in to relieve Yamamoto and got the final three outs of the game.

Dodgers have been homer happy at home

The Dodgers have hit 14 home runs during the first five games of their six-game home stand, and have hit at least one in each game. Muncy leads the way with four of his own, but Shohei Ohtani and Teoscar Hernández are right behind him with three each.
