The force was with the Los Angeles Dodgers as they routed the Philadelphia Phillies on Star Wars Night with their second consecutive game scoring 13 runs.
The Dodgers got on the board in the first inning when Freddie Freeman doubled, Will Smith singled and Max Muncy hit a sacrifice fly. They added two more in the second inning following a walk from James Outman and double from Miguel Vargas before Mookie Betts singled to drive them in.
Trea Turner put the Phillies back in the game with a solo home run in the fourth inning, which was also their first hit of the night. However, the Dodgers struck back in the bottom half of the inning when Vargas doubled once again before Betts picked up another RBI single.
The score remained 4-1 until the seventh inning, when the Dodgers put together another rally. Betts and Smith singled before Muncy walked to load the bases, then Chris Taylor came through with a two-run double.

Vargas continued to act as a phantom menace to the Phillies and hit his third double of the game, which drove in Muncy and Taylor to make the score 8-1.
In the eighth, Michael Busch pinch-hit for Betts and worked a walk, which was followed by Freeman blasting his fifth home run of the season. Following a single from Muncy and a walk from Taylor, the Phillies once again called on infielder Kody Clemens to pitch.
James Outman greeted Clemens with an RBI single, then Vargas added his fourth hit of the night, making the score 12-1. Then with the bases loaded, Austin Barnes walked before Clemens retired Busch on a ground out.
Julio Urías dominates, Dodgers bullpen shuts down Phillies
On the pitching side, Julio Urías pitched a gem, throwing seven innings while giving up just the lone solo home run. In addition, he struck out 10 batters while only walking one.
After Urías, Alex Vesia and Phil Bickford pitched a scoreless inning each to close out the game. Vesia ran into some trouble by allowing a hit and a walk, while Bickford struck out the side.
