After dropping two straight games to the Colorado Rockies to lose their first series of the season, the Los Angeles Dodgers got back on track Tuesday night with a 10-9 win over the Arizona Diamondbacks in 10 innings.

While they stranded a slew of runners on base, the Dodgers’ bats had a very productive night, earning 10 hits and 12 walks to account for their 10 runs. Rookie Gavin Lux got the scoring started in the top of the second when he hit a solo home run to left field, his first of the season.

The Dodgers found themselves trailing 6-2 in the seventh, although they pushed across four runs in that frame to tie the game. Cody Bellinger and Chris Taylor started the rally with walks and then Lux drove in the first run with an infield single.

Edwin Rios came up with the big hit, a two-run double off the wall in right-center field. Mookie Betts then drove home Rios with a single up the middle to tie the game at six.

Diamondbacks shortstop Josh Rojas made an incredible play on a ball Corey Seager hit up the middle to start an inning-ending double play, so the game remained tied and eventually went to extra innings.

With the game tied at six going into the 10th, the Dodgers put a lot of pressure on Arizona by scoring four runs. Chris Taylor brought home the first run on a ground ball to third base, although it came courtesy of Eduardo Escobar as he booted the ball to make it happen.

Lux then launched a three-run home run to right field, his second of the game to give the Dodgers a comfortable 10-6 lead.

While the Diamondbacks battled back to make it 10-9 against Kenley Jansen in the bottom half, he ultimately got a strikeout to end the game and complete the victory.
