The Los Angeles Dodgers shut out the Arizona Diamondbacks with an 8-0 victory to conclude their first long road trip of the season.

Andy Pages started the scoring in the second inning with a two-run home run on the heels of an eight-pitch at-bat following a walk from Kiké Hernández.

Miguel Rojas followed with a double and Chris Taylor walked to set the bases for Austin Barnes, who doubled home Rojas and put two runners in scoring position. Mookie Betts capped off a five-run second inning with a two-RBI single.

Will Smith hit his fourth homer of the season in the third inning, giving L.A. a six-run lead.

In the seventh inning, the Dodgers added two more runs when a single and two walks loaded the bases, which was followed by back-to-back walks from Chris Taylor and Rojas to score two morwe.

Yamamoto pitched six shutout innings, while giving up five hits, walking two and striking out five.

He has now thrown consecutive starts of six innings pitched with no runs allowed, and he holds a streak of 15 consecutive scoreless innings. Since his disastrous debut in South Korea, Yamamoto has posted a 1.63 ERA in six starts.

Andy Pages ‘a big part’ of Dodgers hot streak

Pages made his first start on April 16 at home against the Washington Nationals, smacking a single in his first plate appearance. The Dodgers have gone 9-5 since his call-up as he’s been a plus-addition to the lineup.

The Dodgers coaching staff has made it known that they’ve been impressed with him thus far, with manager Dave Roberts making it clear that Pages is on track to get a lot of run in his first Major League stint.
