Los Angeles Dodgers attendance for the 2023 season finished at 3,837,079, marking their fifth-largest total in franchise history. The Dodgers had 19 sellouts at Dodger Stadium this season and averaged 47,371 fans per game.

They are going to finish first among all teams for home attendance this year, with the New York Yankees all but guaranteed to pass the San Diego Padre once hosting their 81st game.

Among the highlights from the Dodgers’ home schedule this season was an announced attendance of 53,057 for the Freeway Series finale. That represented the Dodgers’ largest home crowd of the 2023 season.

Festivities included Los Angeles Lakers forward Rui Hachimura throwing out the ceremonial first pitch for Japanese Heritage Night at Dodger Stadium. The Lakers re-signed Hachimura to a three-year contract that is worth a reported $51 million.

The previous high was a Dodger Stadium attendance of 52,975, which came during a June 3 matchup against the New York Yankees.

The Dodgers exceed 3 million in home attendance for the 11th time in the past 13 seasons. The only exceptions were the pandemic-impacted 2020 season when fans were not permitted and in 2021 because of limited attendance being allowed for a portion of the schedule.

Last season L.A. set the 2022 MLB record for largest crowd with 53,302 announced attendance on Freddie Freeman bobblehead night at Dodger Stadium.

The Dodgers franchise record for most attendance in one season is 3,974,309 from 2019. That’s followed by 3,861,408 in attendance for the 2022 season, when the Dodgers set a franchise record with 111 wins.

Their third-largest total is 3,857,500 in attendance during 2018, which narrowly edged 3,857,036 from 2007. The Dodgers’ 2023 attendance ranks fifth.

All told, the Dodgers have exceeded 3 million in attendance during 34 different seasons.
